Empowering Our Local Communities through Thriving Partnerships

Internal Training
Our management team has been very strategic by adding key subject matter experts to “Team BarTech.” Our goal is to help build a sustainable workforce in the utility sector as we will see a considerable loss of seasoned tradesmen due to attrition in the next five to seven years. We rely on their wealth of knowledge and experience in various specialties to provide insight, guidance and training in the following areas:
- Training interns
- Contributing to internal training and reference materials
- Providing hands-on mentorship to entry-level personnel
Training Partnerships
We take great pride building alliances with programs and companies to provide viable career paths for our local communities. To do our part in assisting those interested in pursuing careers in the electrical field, we have partnered with the following entities to provide a platform for up-and-coming electrical and construction workers.
DAWSON TECH OVERHEAD ELECTRICAL LINE WORKER PROGRAM
In 2009, President and CEO, Dwayne K. Barlow used his expertise to assist in the development of the Dawson Tech Overhead Electrical Line Worker Program, a College Accredited Curriculum through the City Colleges of Chicago. The 30 credit hour certificate program prepares students for immediate entry into the field as an electrical power line installer or overhead electrical line worker.
CONSTRUCT PROGRAM
The CONSTRUCT program is dedicated to diversifying the pool of candidates for construction-related jobs. We are proud to participate in this program by providing internship opportunities and entry-level positions on a host of construction projects.
